Weddings |
Marriage is a solemn public covenant between two people in the presence of God and the faith community. Choosing to enter a covenantal relationship is one of life’s important decisions and joyous occasions. It is also a time for prayer, planning, preparation, and growth.
We are happy to discuss with you your interest in celebrating your marriage at Transfiguration. We want to help make this special occasion beautiful and meaningful. Please note: It is very important that a relationship between the Church and the couple intending to be married is established. While we do not require church membership in order to be married at Transfiguration, we do anticipate a strong connection between the couple and the congregation. Final decisions are at the discretion of the Rector. Premarital counseling is required of all couples seeking the Sacrament of Marriage. For further information on planning and scheduling your wedding, please contact the church office here. |

Funerals
|
“Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38-39
When the death of a member of the parish occurs, please contact the priest at Transfiguration as soon as possible. Arrangements for funerals are made by the family and clergy. Dates and times for funerals must be approved by Church prior to announcements in newspapers. We also encourage you to meet with a clergy member to begin planning your funeral in advance. Transfiguration has several burial options, and we are happy to discuss your plans. |
