Everyone is welcome at Transfiguration, especially children! 

We are graced by the presence of a small but steady group of children and youth and we deeply value their presence.
​Likewise, we are regularly blessed by grandchildren and young friends of church members.

We believe children do learn about our Christian faith even just sitting next to us in church during worship. They learn the value of community, the shape of hospitality, the gift of storytelling, the joy of Jesus and the power of Holy Eucharist.

​For our older children, education through service is always available: we support kids who want to be a lay reader, acolyte or join us in our outreach ministries.

For our younger children, quiet activities are located near the front door. We also welcome children to the altar rail for communion. Following your family custom, they may receive the bread and wine or a blessing from the priest.
